He was honored as the originator of the Robert F. Kennedy 50-year commemoration event that highlighted the life and legacy of RFK. The event took place at the very place where the Ambassador Hotel once stood and where RFK’s Presidential campaign ended on that fateful day 50 years ago after giving a victory speech upon winning the Presidential California Primary.

A Certificate of Recognition was presented by the State of California Senate, which was bestowed by Senator Kevin de León. Another certificate was presented by the Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Directors, which was given by Board President Mónica García.
